Project Spaces
Types of Project Spaces
- Infrastructure - resources for development infrastructure used by a whole institute
acs-infra-... or ebc-infra-...
- Team - resources shared by a team
acs-team-... or ebc-team-...
- Single Project - resources dedicated to a certain project
acs-... or ebc-... or erc-... (for inter institute projects)
- Test - for short testing only, resources are shared with all users, VMs older than 24h may be removed by anyone
How to Request Project Spaces:
- Project spaces may be requested by a Mail to OS Admin.
- Please use the template below to request a new project space:
- Name of the project space in terms of infrastructure, team or single project (see above):
- Users to assign:
- your Active Directory user name (three letters), see How to get access to the OpenStack Dashboard
- Number of VCPUs:
- Amount of RAM [GB]:
- Note: 2 GB of RAM/VCPUs is default. You might request another amount for special use cases.
- Number of Floating IPs:
- Note: As less as possible. Use a Proxy if possible.
- Storage [GB]:
- Note: A fixed amount of storage will be included in every instance you start (10 - 30 GB). You can also attach volumes to the instance to increase the amount of storage. All team project spaces include 1 TB of volume quota, all other types of project spaces include 500 GB of volume quota. If you need more volume storage you can request it here (e.g. for huge databases). Volume quota can be requested later as well with a Mail to OS Admin.
